Safety Health and Environment Advisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Safety Health and Environment (SHE) Advisor to join our Transportation team in Shrewsbury. As an SHE Advisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest possible standards of SHE responsibilities are implemented across the business.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and participate in regular meetings with operational staff, supply chain partners, clients, and the contract management team to challenge boundaries and improve standards.
- Assist the General Manager, Operations Manager, and Contract Manager in advising on incidents and injuries, leading incident investigations, and providing advice and support on safety, health, and environment issues.
- Maintain and manage the company's ISO 45001 and 14001 accreditations, driving the trial and use of innovative products and techniques.
- Support the company SHEA Director and the wider SHEA team across the business in continually developing the safety health and environmental management system.
- Manage and coordinate monthly SHE meetings with Kier staff, client teams, and supply chain partners, collating and disseminating data on safety, health, and environment performance.
- Hold a Degree in Safety Health and Environmental Management or operational working experience of managing SHE on large construction sites and highways reactive maintenance contracts.
- Have IOSH Working Safely, IOSH Managing Safely, and a NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety or equivalent.
- Hold a driving license and be able to drive.
