Transport Planner

We are seeking an experienced Transport Planner to join our client based in Cardiff. This is an excellent opportunity for career progression in a dynamic and growing company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Transport Manager to optimize staff and asset utilization, ensuring maximum commercial contract efficiency, profit, and customer satisfaction.
- Plan and coordinate daily transport operations, including dispatch debriefs and work progress.
- Develop strong relationships with customers to ensure smooth operation, debrief drivers on daily activities, and maximize resource utilization.
- Provide regular reports to the Transport and Sales Manager on customer-related matters and make recommendations.
- Assist with compliance planning and provide support for breakdowns.
Essential Skills:
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the aggregate or waste industry.
- Understanding of legal compliance, drivers' hours, and WTDs.
- Analytical ability to review data and reports.
Working Hours:
Rotational shifts Monday to Friday, with some additional cover on Saturdays required.
