About the Job

We are currently seeking a skilled Conveyor System Fitter to join our team at the Port of Middlesbrough. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance and repairs on our train unloading conveyor system and associated plant equipment.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular maintenance tasks to ensure the efficient operation of plant equipment.
  • Identify and resolve faults on conveyor systems and mobile plant, minimizing downtime and maintaining productivity.
  • Undertake repairs to mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and other systems, using a variety of tools and equipment.
  • Keep accurate records and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you must have extensive experience in a related trade, with a strong understanding of mechanical principles and operations. You should also possess excellent problem-solving skills and be able to work independently.

  • Proven experience in a related trade.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical principles and operations.
  • Ability to identify and resolve complex problems.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Valid driving license (if applicable).
Salary:

The estimated annual salary for this role is £40,000-£55,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Working Hours:
