About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at Bright Horizons Cambridge Milton Road Day Nursery and Preschool. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in leading, mentoring, and inspiring a team to deliver exceptional care and education to all children in our care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team to deliver high-quality care and education to children
  • Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring the safety and well-being of children
  • Collaborate with the Nursery Manager to develop and implement policies and procedures
  • Develop strong partnerships with parents, carers, and other professionals to meet the needs of each child
  • Ensure commercial success of the nursery by maintaining expenditure and budget KPIs
Requirements
  • Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
  • Experience in an Early Years leadership role, ideally as a Deputy Manager or Assistant Manager
  • Experience of participating in regulatory inspections, leading to a "Good" or "Outstanding" outcome
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and legislative requirements
  • Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with colleagues and parents
