We are seeking an experienced Investment Analyst to join our Direct and Co-investment team at the British Business Bank. As an Investment Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting our Investment Managers and Senior Investment Managers on deals, and have demonstrated capability in this area.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing, building and assessing the pipeline of potential direct equity investments, analysing data on potential investee companies and completing appraisal and due diligence of new co-investment opportunities. You will also be expected to work across the range of activities of the British Business Bank, working with investment colleagues based in the London and Sheffield offices, and liaising with legal, risk, finance, and external advisors.
Key Responsibilities- Sourcing and building the pipeline of potential direct equity investments
- Analysing data on potential investee companies
- Completing appraisal and due diligence of new co-investment opportunities
- Working with investment colleagues and external advisors
We are looking for an experienced Investment Analyst with a strong background in professional services or venture capital. You will have a demonstrated interest in technology and venture capital, and experience in analysing datasets. Experience in startups, venture capital or fund-of-funds is also desirable.
Please note that this is a permanent, full-time role based in London or Sheffield, with the expectation that you will attend an office 2 days per week. The salary is competitive and the hours are flexible.
