Job Summary
This role will involve assisting the Financial Accountant with managing all aspects of banking and payroll for the company. The successful candidate will be responsible for reconciling bank accounts and payroll, conducting balance sheet reconciliations, and investigating any discrepancies.
Key Responsibilities
- Reconcile bank accounts and payroll to ensure accuracy and up-to-date records.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations regularly.
- Investigate and resolve any un-reconciled transactions promptly.
- Reconcile accounts receivable and cash receipts.
- Process supplier payments and assist with supplier reconciliations.
- Manage petty cash journals and ensure all month-end activities are completed on time.
- Engage in cross-training with colleagues within the Finance Department.
Skills Required
- Extensive knowledge and experience in accounting, including nominal ledger, sales ledger, and purchase ledger.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and work well in a fast-paced environment.
