We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join our team at Kenton Black. As a key member of our Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees, contractors, and customers.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site audits to monitor health and safety standards and prepare audit reports
  • Suggest and implement improvements on-site and monitor to ensure completion of required actions
  • Induct new starters to ensure they understand risks, methods, and standards expected on our sites
  • Verify the qualifications of erectors on site to ensure they meet minimum standards
  • Deliver training and toolbox talks to educate site personnel on expected standards
  • Complete accident investigation reports
  • Prepare and update RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements) as required
  • Assist the Head of SHE with documentation, administration, training, and projects as needed

Key Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education to a good standard, preferably higher education or above
  • Membership of IOSH
  • NEBOSH General (minimum) and NEBOSH Construction (preferable) certification
  • Current UK driving license and use of a personal car for work-related usage
  • Self-motivated and positive attitude with good communication skills and ability to deal with site installation teams, colleagues, senior management, and customers
  • Ability and willingness to work flexibly to suit the needs and demands of the role
  • Sound appreciation of health and safety practices on site (e.g., risk assessments, accident investigations, induction, and training)
