Welding Team Manager

Nine Twenty Engineering & Manufacturing is seeking a skilled Welding Team Manager to lead a dynamic team in a leading manufacturing company. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader with a strong background in welding and fabrication to drive Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) performance across the team, ensuring no harm to people, equipment, or the environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive HSE performance across the team.
  • Provide technical assistance to improve safety, production, and quality standards.
  • Lead and develop a team of welders, managing individual and team performance through coaching and mentoring.
  • Manage work priorities and provide quality assurance on completed work, ensuring all processes align with the company's Quality Management Systems.
  • Ensure operational compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Provide expert welding knowledge and skills in TIG, MAG, GMAW, pipework assembly, and fabrication.
  • Strong understanding of NDE processes, including penetrant testing, radiographic testing, and visual inspection.
  • Recognised Welding Apprenticeship.
  • Experience in leading teams in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in TIG/MAG and GMAW welding processes.
  • Experience in managing safety standards and ensuring compliance with HSE policies.
