Forestry Climber

Job Overview: North Lanarkshire Council seeks a highly skilled Arborist Climber to join their team. This role involves climbing trees to prune, remove branches, and perform other necessary tasks. The successful candidate must hold essential qualifications, including an SVQ Level 2 in arboriculture and CS 38 & 39 certification. A driving licence with categories B+E is also required.

Key Responsibilities: The Arborist Climber will be responsible for:

• Maintaining and improving the Council's tree stock
• Climbing trees to prune, remove branches, and perform other necessary tasks
• Working safely at heights using ropes and harnesses
• Collaborating with other teams to ensure project success

Salary: Our competitive salary for this role is estimated at £30,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience. This includes a minimum annual leave entitlement of 27 days per annum (plus 6 public holidays) and a defined benefit pension scheme.

Requirements: To excel in this role, you should possess:

• SVQ Level 2 professional arboricultural qualification
• CS 38 & 39 qualification
• Driving licence with categories B+E
• Able to climb trees and work at heights
