Job Title: Registered Nurse - Aged Care Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Churches of Christ in Queensland. As a Registered Nurse - Aged Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver person-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of residents' needs and develop individualized care plans to ensure their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
  • Provide direct care to residents, including administering medications, wound care, and other treatments as prescribed by medical staff.
  • Collaborate with the care team to ensure seamless transitions and continuity of care for residents.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of care and services provided to residents.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to aged care.

Requirements:

  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse.
  • Experience in aged care, preferably in a leadership or specialist role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards and ability to apply this knowledge in practice.
