Job Title: Global Pricing Specialist

Job Responsibilities:

As the Global Pricing Specialist, you will be accountable for strategic pricing operational activities within Burberry's global Merchandising & Planning organisation. You will report into the Merchandise Planning Operations, Senior Planning Manager.

Your key responsibilities will include:

* Identifying pricing opportunities through analysis of pricing architecture, performance trends and competitor pricing intelligence.

* Monitoring changing global macro-economic factors and making appropriate and reasoned price adjustment recommendations to maintain global pricing consistency and protect group margins.

* Seasonal pricing set up to ensure that global retail and wholesale prices are appropriately derived each season.

* Assist the Senior Planning Manager in working with Finance to provide seasonal pricing guidance and global pricing architecture relationships to be incorporated into seasonal and financial plans.

* Create price positioning recommendations for new countries by undertaking analysis on relevant taxes and duties as well as local competitor price positioning.

* Support the Senior Planning Manager in the formulation of the longer term Global Pricing Strategy.

* Review key style pricing and performance with the product merchants incorporating appropriate competitor pricing comparisons and agree seasonal price adjustments as appropriate.

Seasonal Pricing Set-up:

* Oversee the seasonal price bands (core currency pricing relationships) process with merchants and implementation in Flex PLM.

* Oversee the creation of seasonal retail and wholesale factor files for SAP.

* Supervise the build and maintenance of seasonal pricing files.

Business Liaison with Pricing Execution Team:

* Manage quarterly price change requests and approvals, working with the Product, Retail & BI Pricing data team to facilitate a smooth implementation.

* Liaise with BI pricing team on ad-hoc pricing queries, seasonal realignments, emergency price adjustments and any other price execution requests.

* Actively engage in coaching and mentoring activities, driving personal and professional development across the team.

* Strong commercial awareness of a retail business.

* Demonstrated experience managing a team in a fast paced commercial, luxury environment.

* Creative, innovative and customer-oriented when faced with business challenges.

* Experience with SAP would be advantageous.
