The Opportunity
We now have an excellent opportunity for a Preventive Engineer onsite at our Cement Manufacturing Plant in Staffordshire. This is a brand new role to our plant giving you the flexibility to find the best ways of working and show your capabilities to excel your career.
You will become an integral part of the reliability and longevity of our operational equipment. Utilising your mechanical understanding and expertise, you will develop and further enhance our Preventive Maintenance onsite to keep operational downtime to a minimum.
You will coordinate with the wider maintenance team onsite for annual shutdown activities, ensuring all preventive maintenance tasks are completed in an appropriate time frame and that parts are available for the hands-on team.
Salary and Benefits
This is a competitive position offering a salary of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, plus bonus, 25 days holiday + local bank holidays (with options to increase) and other benefits recognising the contribution you bring. You will be valued and supported, working as part of a highly respected team in a business that has a huge focus on Health & Safety.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need a background in Mechanical Engineering, understanding a manufacturing process and able to recognise wear on equipment in an industrial environment. You will be an analytical person, able to interpret reports and implement strategies to help improve longevity of equipment. Ideally, you will hold a Mechanical Engineering degree, or be keen to further develop your qualifications and skills.
