About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Research Funding Officer to join our Research Directorate. The successful candidate will be responsible for administering and managing the entire grants management life cycle, both pre- and post-award. This includes managing grant funding schemes, communicating with applicants and stakeholders, and ensuring that grant management processes are implemented rigorously and efficiently.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage grant funding schemes, including career awards, larger project grants, and strategic research
  • Communicate with applicants and stakeholders throughout the grant management process
  • Implement rigorous grant management processes to ensure gold standard governance
  • Work with people affected by diabetes to involve them in funding schemes
  • Organize and deliver annual networking events for PhD funded students and fellows

Requirements:

  • BSc in biomedical sciences or life sciences
  • Strong interest in scientific and clinical research
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to deliver rigorous processes and work proactively, independently, and in a team
  • Excellent communication and networking skills
