Genomics Project: We are currently working on a large-scale genomics project in the UK and are looking for a highly skilled Genomics Specialist to join our team. The project involves working with clinical samples in a hospital lab environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and sequencing clinical samples using Nanopore Sequencing Technologies. Key tasks include:
  • Quality control of samples using qubit, plate reader and other common QC platforms
  • Sample shearing using G-tubes, Megarupter and FastPrep
  • DNA size selection
  • Loading and running of Flow cells on PromethION sequencing devices

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in molecular biology and previous experience with next-generation sequencing library preparation. We offer a competitive salary of £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
