About the Role:

As a CBRE Fabric Technician, you will be responsible for delivering proactive and reactive building maintenance and repair services for client contracts. This role is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function, providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Support: Provide efficient and courteous support to clients, with a strong focus on customer care.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on facilities to ensure optimal performance.
  • Equipment Installation: Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
  • Inspections: Inspect new or existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
  • Engineering Support: Assist engineering staff in a wide range of duties as required, responding to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and supervisors.
  • Efficiency Optimization: Take measures to ensure that all systems are operating in the most efficient manner.
  • Problem-Solving: Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Physical Requirements: Meet the physical requirements of this role, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work, with communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
  • Technical Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
