About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Pre-Construction Manager to lead the tendering process for major contracts within the highways sector. The successful candidate will oversee a team of three estimators and regularly pitch to customers to secure new business.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex infrastructure projects, collaborating with internal teams, including design, engineering, and project delivery, to align tender strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of highways construction, traffic signals, and/or civil engineering, with exceptional leadership and team management skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the tendering process, ensuring high-quality and competitive submissions.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of three estimators.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling customer pitches to secure contracts.
  • Analyze project requirements and provide innovative, cost-effective solutions.
Requirements:

The successful candidate will require:

  • Proven experience as a Pre-Construction Manager, Estimator, or Bid Manager within the highways, traffic signals, or associated infrastructure sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of highways construction, traffic signals, and/or civil engineering.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
  • Demonstrable experience in tendering and delivering successful bids.
