Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Metallurgy Specialist to provide technical support to our Technical team for routine production.
- Reviewing mechanical and chemical test results against customer specifications and liaising with the test laboratory.
- Validating heat treatment charts, both in-house and sub-contractors.
- Validating SAT reports.
- Being involved with the certification of product.
- Involvement with internal audits and completing them as scheduled by the business.
- Processing orders and enquiries including technical contract review, route generation and assignment and the generation of any necessary quality and method control documentation.
- Metallurgy or Materials Science degree level qualification.
- A solid understanding of the physical metallurgy of steel and nickel-based alloys.
- Demonstrating a proactive and motivated attitude with a clear drive to achieve results.
- Ability to drive communication at all levels.
- Ability to work within a team and share knowledge.
- Participating in improvement activities.
- Computer literate.
- Exemplary timekeeping and attendance.
