Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Metallurgy Specialist to provide technical support to our Technical team for routine production.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Reviewing mechanical and chemical test results against customer specifications and liaising with the test laboratory.
  2. Validating heat treatment charts, both in-house and sub-contractors.
  3. Validating SAT reports.
  4. Being involved with the certification of product.
  5. Involvement with internal audits and completing them as scheduled by the business.
  6. Processing orders and enquiries including technical contract review, route generation and assignment and the generation of any necessary quality and method control documentation.
Skills Experience and Qualification
  1. Metallurgy or Materials Science degree level qualification.
  2. A solid understanding of the physical metallurgy of steel and nickel-based alloys.
Qualities & Attributes
  1. Demonstrating a proactive and motivated attitude with a clear drive to achieve results.
  2. Ability to drive communication at all levels.
  3. Ability to work within a team and share knowledge.
  4. Participating in improvement activities.
  5. Computer literate.
  6. Exemplary timekeeping and attendance.
