Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team in Newark-on-Trent.

The successful candidate will work closely with the classroom teacher to create a positive learning environment that is stimulating for all children, including those with SEN needs.

This will involve helping to prepare and deliver lesson materials, building relationships with parents, and setting individual targets for students.

We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with children with special educational needs and hold a Level 3 TA qualification or equivalent.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside the classroom teacher to promote a positive learning environment
  • Help prepare and deliver lesson materials
  • Build relationships with children's parents to ensure ongoing development and progress
  • Set individual targets and monitor them closely to design appropriate learning material

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs
  • A Level 3 TA qualification or equivalent desirable
  • An enhanced DBS and two references
  • A positive attitude and willingness to help students succeed
