Job Summary

Octopus Energy is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Apprentice in Renewable Energy Installation to join our team. As a Low Carbon Heating Technician, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining low carbon technology in customers' homes.

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience).

About the Role

In this critical role, you will work closely with our team to ensure the seamless installation of low carbon technology, including air source heat pumps. You will also be responsible for planning, selecting, and installing equipment, as well as testing and commissioning new systems.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical skills, a strong understanding of low carbon technology, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the installation of low carbon technology, including air source heat pumps.
  • Plan and select equipment for installation, with supervision and support.
  • Complete prep work for installation, test handover procedures, and remove old heating and hot water systems.
Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • GCSE Maths and English at level 4-9 or equivalent.
  • A full UK driving licence with no more than 3 points.
  • A permanent right to work in the UK for the duration of the Apprenticeship.
