Senior Solicitor - Licensing and Litigation

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Solicitor - Licensing and Litigation to join our team at Sellick Partnership Limited. As a key member of our legal services team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and support to our clients in the areas of licensing and litigation.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a well-regarded Local Authority located in Merseyside. You will be part of a professional legal team delivering legal advice and support to all aspects of the Council's services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing expert advice on licensing and civil litigation procedures
  • Handling a licensing caseload from start to finish, including Taxi Licences and Premises Licences (Licensing Act 2003) and advising licensing committees
  • Experience of advocacy and managing litigation matters in the Employment Tribunal, Civil and/or Criminal Courts
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have previous experience dealing with Licensing and Litigation matters in a Local Authority, be an excellent co-ordinator, and have well-developed communication skills. Local government experience is desirable, but we welcome applications from people from all parts of the legal sector.
