About the Role
Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board is seeking an experienced and motivated Service Manager to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to be responsible for the management of specialty medicine services across our three acute hospitals.
The successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge and experience of performance management and service development, including managing referral to treatment performance and single cancer pathway management.
We are looking for a manager who can provide inspirational leadership, alongside day-to-day operational management. The Service Manager will deputise for the Directorate Manager and have experience of managing teams, with the ability to maintain a supportive team environment and provide opportunities for continued learning and development.
Main Responsibilities
The Service Manager will contribute to the senior management team to ensure operational plans and performance are closely managed. They will lead and provide solutions to resolve difficult operational issues, in accordance with agreed University Health Board objectives, targets, quality standards, and resource constraints.
The post holder will support the Clinical Director, Head of Nursing, and relevant Clinical/Therapies leads and Directorate Manager to provide strategic direction and take lead responsibility for certain operational aspects of business, financial, activity, and performance management.
Working closely with the senior management team, the Service Manager will develop and implement the Integrated Medium Term Plan and operational strategies, ensuring that systems and processes are in place to comply with relevant legislation and governance requirements.
