Job Title: Academic Support Mentor - Computer Science

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic graduate to join our team as an Academic Support Mentor for Computer Science. As a key member of our department, you will play a vital role in supporting students in KS3-KS5, running small group interventions, and assisting with general classroom support.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Work closely with teachers and subject leads to create resources for intervention sessions and assist with general classroom support.
  2. Lead small intervention groups and 1:1 sessions, including GCSE and A Level, to support students in achieving their academic goals.
  3. Assist with the creation of resources for lessons and support sessions, ensuring that materials are engaging and effective.
  4. Collaborate with the subject leads to develop and implement strategies to support students in KS3-KS5.
  5. Contribute to the development of a supportive and inclusive learning environment, promoting high standards of student behavior.

Requirements:
  1. 1st Class or 2:1 graduate in Computer Science or a related field from a reputable University.
  2. Good A Levels and GCSEs.
  3. Confident, compassionate, and hardworking individual with excellent communication skills.
  4. Ability to work well within the subject department and be a team player.
  5. Passion for Computer Science and a desire to become a Computer Science Teacher.
