About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to join our team at Widseth Smith Nolting & Assoc., Inc. as a key member of our municipal engineering group. As a Civil Engineer with our firm, you will be responsible for managing municipal clients and projects, attending city council and commission meetings, and overseeing our internal project design and field staff and external consultant partners.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage municipal clients and projects, including attending city council and commission meetings, and managing our internal project design and field staff and external consultant partners.
  2. Prepare technical reports, construction estimating, contract documents and specifications, and administer the public bidding process on behalf of our clients.
  3. Participate in the development of other civil-related projects as deemed appropriate by the firm.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
  2. 5+ years' experience in municipal engineering.
  3. Knowledge of MnDOT requirements, State-Aid procedures, and common funding programs such as USDA Rural Development and Public Facility Administration.
  4. A working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroStation is preferred but not required.
