As a Risk Consultant - Global Risk Review Specialist, you will play a critical role in identifying and managing significant risk exposures at BCG.
Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Risk Consultant to join our Global Risk Management function. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in auditing, compliance, or risk management, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the tech, banking, professional services, or consulting industry. The salary for this position is estimated to be around $110,000 per year, based on national averages for similar roles in the United States.
About the RoleThe Risk Consultant - Global Risk Review Specialist will be responsible for conducting risk reviews and spot checks to assess the risk and controls environment of BCG's offices worldwide. This includes meeting with office leadership and global functions to plan, execute, and post-review efforts, as well as preparing comprehensive documentation of findings and recommendations.
You will also assist the team with targeted functional/operating risk reviews, which focus on global or regional processes. This involves conducting process walk-throughs, performing detailed testing, drafting detailed reporting/action plans, and following up on implementation efforts.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct risk reviews and spot checks to assess the risk and controls environment of BCG's offices worldwide.
- Meet with office leadership and global functions to plan, execute, and post-review efforts.
- Prepare comprehensive documentation of findings and recommendations.
- Assist the team with targeted functional/operating risk reviews, focusing on global or regional processes.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A strong academic background in a relevant discipline, such as accounting, auditing, compliance, or risk management.
- At least 2 years of experience in auditing, compliance, or risk management within the tech, banking, professional services, or consulting industry.
- Preferred certifications include CIMA, ACCA, IAA, or similar.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational, project management, and teaming skills.
- Adaptability and a continuous learning mindset to thrive in a rapidly changing risk landscape.
In this role, you will bring:
- A deep understanding of risk management frameworks, internal controls, and compliance standards.
- Expertise in conducting risk reviews and spot checks, including process walk-throughs and detailed testing.
