Job Summary

Wood is currently seeking a Senior Principal Technical Safety Engineer to join our team in Staines. As a key member of our design input team, you will provide leadership and expertise in the planning, scheduling, and execution of discipline activities and deliverables.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide discipline leadership and focal point to the design input team, encompassing planning, scheduling, and execution of discipline activities and deliverables.
  • Substantial experience in the Design HSE profession across all design phases, including feasibility, concept, pre-FEED, FEED, and EPC, within Energy Transition, Oil & Gas, Refinery &/or Petrochemical sectors.
  • UK Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in an appropriate engineering subject.
  • Preferably a Chartered Engineer and member of an appropriate engineering institution.
  • Significant experience across all Technical HSE sub-disciplines, including Process Safety, Fire Protection, Environmental, and Human Factors, with a strong understanding in two or more.
  • Awareness of 2D drafting and 3D CAD modeling processes.
  • Familiar with software pertaining to the discipline, including PHAST, FRED, Safeti, Shephard, FLACS, FlareSIM, Detect3D, Pipenet, PHA-Pro, etc.
Requirements
  • UK Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in an appropriate engineering subject.
