Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Mechatronics Engineer to join our team on a 12-month fixed-term contract in Ampthill, Bedfordshire.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the electrical and mechanical assembly and integration of complex systems, working from drawings and engineering instructions. They will demonstrate competent and safe use of all hand tools, jigs, fixtures, and measuring tools, including final acceptance testing on the production line.

This role is based at our state-of-the-art facility in rural Bedfordshire and benefits from a 4-day working week (Monday – Thursday).

Key Requirements:
  • ELECTRICAL AND MECHANICAL ASSEMBLY: A comprehensive range of Electrical and Mechanical assembly and fitting skills with previous experience in similar roles.
  • CABLE INSTALLATION AND ROUTING: Ability to install, route, and connect cables and harnesses with high accuracy.
  • DRAWING INTERPRETATION: Ability to interpret drawings and work from written instructions, specifications, procedures, schematics, and engineering drawings with limited supervision.
  • MEASURING EQUIPMENT USE: Ability to use hand tools and measuring equipment with high accuracy.
  • FUNCTIONAL ACCEPTANCE TESTING: Experience of product functional acceptance testing desirable.

The estimated salary for this role is £45,000-£65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
