TML Recruitment is collaborating with an innovative General Property Practice to identify a vital addition to their London Valuation team.
We are seeking a Senior Surveyor with robust commercial valuation expertise who is eager to be part of a firm that provides rapid career advancement and potential equity opportunities.
This role is based in their prestigious London offices, operating on a hybrid work model. The team handles a wide array of valuation assignments across Central London and surrounding areas, engaging with a diverse clientele and property types.
The firm is compact, comprising approximately 20 professionals, yet is experiencing significant growth, having achieved a remarkable 36% increase in the previous year. They maintain comprehensive professional indemnity insurance and collaborate with all major high street banks and lenders.
This organization is known for attracting top talent from the industry and, due to their extensive workload, they require an ambitious Surveyor or Senior Surveyor who is looking for swift career progression, with the intention of fast-tracking to a directorship role.
Key Responsibilities:
A substantial part of this position involves delivering valuation guidance to clients for various purposes, including loan security, financial reporting, acquisitions, disposals, and taxation. The role entails a balanced focus of approximately 80% commercial and 20% residential valuations, which can be adjusted based on individual preferences.
You will engage with a diverse range of clients, ensuring a stimulating and varied work environment. Your tasks may include valuing large office spaces, religious establishments, retail units, and major automotive showrooms.
Client Engagement:
Your clientele will encompass significant lending institutions, including UK clearing banks, alternative lenders, investors, developers, local authorities, and landed estates.
Required Qualifications:
- MRICS and RICS Registered Valuer
- Proven experience in crafting clear and concise reports and offering strategic property insights and due diligence
- Demonstrated experience in valuing commercial properties, with a blend of commercial and residential experience being acceptable
- Experience in statutory, development, and investment valuations across various asset classes is preferred
- Willingness to mentor and support junior team members
- Strong communication skills
