About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team at Macklin Care Homes. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing person-centred care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality care to residents, promoting independence and dignity.
  • Support residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and medication management.
  • Engage residents in activities that promote mental and physical stimulation, such as exercise, arts, and crafts.
  • Collaborate with the nursing team to ensure seamless care delivery and resident safety.
  • Update and maintain accurate records of resident care and activities.

Requirements:

  • Current NVQ in care or equivalent qualification.
  • Knowledge of Care of the Elderly Patients Charter of Rights.
  • Experience in a caring background or setting.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
  • Flexibility to work set hours, including night shifts and weekends.
