We are currently seeking highly skilled and compassionate Band 2 Healthcare Assistants to join our team in the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust. Job Overview

The successful candidates will be required to commit to working day shifts across various departments between the hours of 7am and 8pm.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with their daily needs, ensuring they feel comfortable and happy.
  • Support patients in moving and getting around, promoting their safety and confidence.
  • Maintain a vigilant eye on patients' health signs and record any changes to facilitate prompt support.
  • Offer friendly presence and emotional support to patients, fostering a sense of well-being.
  • Encourage patients to engage in activities and hobbies that boost their mood and overall well-being.
  • Ensure patients' wishes are heard by facilitating open communication with the healthcare team.
  • Promote a clean and safe environment, essential for patients' recovery and peace of mind.

Requirements
  • At least 6 months of experience in a healthcare environment, highlighting your expertise and commitment.
  • A valid right to work in Northern Ireland, ensuring seamless integration into our team.
  • Availability for day and night shifts, demonstrating your adaptability and flexibility.
  • Up-to-date inoculations (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, and TB), upholding the highest standards of patient care and safety.
