Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Financial Reporting Director to join our team in London. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting and financial reporting skillset, with a minimum of three years of experience at a manager level.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the delivery of accounting and financial reporting services on a portfolio of clients. This will include managing the working capital of projects, including budgeting, cost management, billing, and debt recoverability.

In addition to their technical skills, the successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to build lasting client relationships. They will also be adaptable and collaborative, with the ability to work at all levels from trainee to Partner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of accounting and financial reporting services on a portfolio of clients.
  • Manage the working capital of projects, including budgeting, cost management, billing, and debt recoverability.
  • Ensure resource is planned effectively and team members are briefed appropriately to deliver projects to clients in line with RSM's quality guidelines and procedures.
  • Provide insights to clients drawing on the firm's depth of resources and help to introduce other service lines as they build those relationships.
  • Ensure firm policy and procedures are followed.

Requirements

  • Candidates should be either ACA or ACCA qualified or equivalent, with a minimum of three years of experience at a manager level.
  • Experience of managing a portfolio of client work within professional practice, transitioning from an audit role is expected.
  • A strong accounting and financial reporting skillset is fundamental.
  • Sector specialism, for example Legal, Technology, Manufacturing, Property etc.

Salary Range

£60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
