About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our team at Lily Residential Services Ltd. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the Registered Manager in delivering high-quality care to children and young people in our residential homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Registered Manager in ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as meeting all relevant Ofsted regulations.
  • Deputise for the Registered Manager in their absence, taking on leadership responsibilities and ensuring the smooth operation of the home.
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare and development of the young people in our care, ensuring their needs are recognised and met.
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with parents, carers, social workers, schools, and other professionals involved in the welfare of the children and young people.
  • Plan, manage, and lead shifts, ensuring the children are kept safe and engaged throughout the day.
Requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare or equivalent, with a willingness to work towards an NVQ Level 5.
  • At least two years' experience working with children and young people in a residential childcare setting, with a senior role.
  • Experience in a supervisory capacity, ideally as a senior.
  • A strong team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Knowledge of the Children's Home Regulations and Ofsted Requirements.
  • Resilience and ability to work at difficult times, with a willingness to ask for support when needed.
  • Computer literacy and attention to detail.
  • A driving licence and access to a car for work-related duties.
