We are partnering with a Local Authority in Swindon to assist with the appointment of a Senior Valuer on a 6-month contract, with a high likelihood of extension at the client's discretion. Please submit your CV for immediate consideration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice and management of residential, commercial, and industrial property, with a focus on District and Local Shopping Centres.
- Manage staff working under the postholder, ensuring procedural control, key result areas, and staff appraisal techniques are implemented.
- Ensure valuation work meets statutory codes, CIPFA, and RICS Practice Statements, and complies with the Council's standing orders, financial regulations, and ISO Quality Standards.
- Assess and undertake leasing and renewal of leases for retail, commercial, industrial, and non-operational property.
- Undertake valuations for rent review, analyze market evidence, negotiate, and implement rent reviews to maximize the Council's rental income.
Requirements:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent.
- Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (General Practice) with at least 2 years (preferably 5) of relevant post-qualification experience, including asset valuations, acquisition management, and disposal casework.
- Experience in dealing with commercial and residential development.
