Job Description:

As a Quality Assurance Specialist at Hudson Shribman, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety across the organization. Your primary responsibility will be to improve processes, reduce errors and waste, and maintain our ISO9001 accreditation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • ISO9001 Compliance:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive plan to ensure compliance across all business functions.
    • Collaborate with external audit teams to verify and maintain legal compliance.
    • Engage with employees to incorporate process improvements and update documentation accordingly.
    • Ensure new employees are informed about ISO9001 requirements in conjunction with their manager.
  • Supplier Quality:
    • Perform regular incoming goods inspections to ensure compliance with our requirements.
    • Manage the reject process for supplied goods, collaborating with suppliers for replacement, rectification, or AFI rectification at cost.
    • Work with Purchasing and Suppliers to ensure compliance with our requirements, including site visits as needed.
    • Conduct annual reviews and grading of all suppliers.
    • Vet and audit new suppliers as required.
  • Equipment Quality:
    • Sign off on equipment as complete and ready to ship, ensuring quality records and documentation are thorough.
    • Manage customer complaints and follow through within the business to drive improvements.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Critically evaluate processes and procedures, involving operatives in promoting improvements.
    • Engage employees to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
    • Maintain KPIs to highlight the performance of the quality function.
    • Introduce new KPIs as needed to drive the function forward.
    • Implement corrective actions when outcomes do not meet requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in quality assurance and familiarity with ISO9001 standards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.
  • Experience with supplier quality management and continuous improvement initiatives.
