About the Role

We are seeking a talented software engineer to join our team as an Execution Algorithm Developer. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining a world-class trading capability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop new execution algorithms and platforms for our trading systems
  • Collaborate with our Trading Desk and Execution Research team to understand business requirements and build robust solutions
  • Work closely with our Quantitative Research team to design and implement trading strategies
  • Develop and maintain our trading platforms, including our low-latency trading system
  • Ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of our trading systems
Requirements
  • Expert proficiency in Java
  • Python skills a significant advantage
  • Database/SQL skills – ideally Oracle
  • Great communication skills and ability to work closely with Researchers, Traders, Operations, Support, and Developers
  • Proponent of strong software engineering techniques and agile methods
Advantages
  • Excellent understanding of financial markets and instruments, particularly equities
  • Experience developing trading algorithms
  • Experience with FIX a significant advantage
  • Experience of front office low latency software and/or trading systems development
