Production Line Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Production Line Operative to join our clients food production team at Premier Work Support.
Key Responsibilities:- Processing and Packaging: Operate and maintain machinery and equipment used in the processing and packaging of food produce, ensuring that food products are prepared, processed, and packaged according to specifications and quality standards.
- Material Handling: Load and unload raw materials and finished products onto and off the production line, ensuring materials are organised and available for production needs.
- Process Monitoring: Monitor production processes and perform routine checks to identify any issues or malfunctions, reporting any defects or discrepancies to the Production Supervisor.
- Maintenance and Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organised work area in accordance with food safety and hygiene regulations, following all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Documentation: Accurately record production data and maintain logs as required, completing any required paperwork and ensuring records are up to date.
- Skills and Abilities: Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with colleagues, basic understanding of food production processes and machinery, and ability to follow instructions and adhere to strict safety and quality standards.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform repetitive tasks, comfortable working in a temperature-controlled environment (hot or cold, depending on the type of food produce).
- Additional Requirements: Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts and overtime as needed, ability to supply a full 5-year work/education history, and willingness to apply for a DBS check.
