Job Description:

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial part in delivering high-quality services to clients. Your responsibilities will include undertaking quantity surveying duties, assisting in contract management, monitoring project budgets, and providing recommendations for cost-effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Undertake quantity surveying duties, including measurement, cost estimating, and cost planning.
  2. Assist in the administration and management of various construction contracts, ensuring compliance and adherence to contractual terms.
  3. Monitor project budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and provide recommendations to clients for cost-effective solutions.
  4. Prepare accurate and timely cost reports, including cost forecasting, valuations, and final accounts.
  5. Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a point of contact for project-related discussions and queries.
  6. Collaborate effectively with other team members to achieve project objectives.

Qualifications:

  • BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
  • Experience working on similar projects £10,000 - £1million.
  • Working towards or keen to work towards membership with a relevant professional body.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proven success working on a variety of construction projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge and experience using M3NHF Schedule of rates.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
