Radiopharmaceuticals Expert

Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled Radiopharmaceuticals Expert to join our team as a Scientific Lead. In this role, you will provide specialist advice in all areas of Nuclear Medicine Therapy, including facilities, equipment, and Radiopharmaceuticals.

Your responsibilities will include preparing procedures, protocols, and competencies documentation for different Nuclear Medicine treatments, working closely with Medical Physics to ensure the maintenance of equipment and facilities, and being responsible for imaging of therapy patients. You will also attend internal and external meetings on behalf of the Trust and provide feedback to the Nuclear Medicine leadership team.

A key aspect of this role is to participate in scientific problem-solving and troubleshooting, provide and sign off competency training for the team, and perform annual appraisals. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing the ordering, storage, and waste disposal of radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with site permit, and taking guidance from the Radiation Waste Adviser. The estimated salary for this position is £**62,000-72,000** per annum, depending on experience.
