Job Title: Child Protection Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Child Protection Specialist to join our team at Ackerman Pierce. The successful candidate will work closely with our social work teams to ensure the safety and well-being of children through effective child protection planning and quality assurance processes.

About the Role: As a Child Protection Specialist, you will be responsible for chairing multi-agency Child Protection Conferences, developing and recording SMART plans, and providing quality assurance and specialist consultation across the service. You will also offer guidance to social workers on Child in Need (CIN) plans or cases where thresholds are unclear.

About You: To be successful in this role, you will need a recognised Social Work Qualification, registration as a Social Worker with Social Work England, and at least 5 years post-qualification experience in frontline child and family teams. You will also need strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation and experience chairing complex, multi-agency meetings.
