Job Title: Student Outcomes Tutor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and student-centred individual to join our team as a Student Outcomes Tutor. As a key member of our academic support team, you will be responsible for providing one-to-one and small group support to students across a wide range of disciplines.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will work closely with priority course teams across all our campuses to enhance outcomes at an individual student level through the development of proactive interventions to encourage continuation and engagement with studies. You will also teach at UG and/or PGT level and carry out research as applicable to this role, and in a cognate discipline with the Faculty of Science and Engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students across a wide range of disciplines.
  • Work closely with priority course teams to enhance outcomes at an individual student level.
  • Teach at UG and/or PGT level and carry out research as applicable to this role.
  • Build and maintain professional networks and rapport with colleagues from different spheres.
  • Collate, analyse, monitor and present data aligned to the institution's Key Performance Indicators.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree and previous experience in a student-facing teaching role at HE level.
  • Knowledge of student information and learning management systems (e.g. SITS, Canvas, Moodle, Blackboard).
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work co-operatively, as part of a team.
