Maintenance Technician

Hamilton Woods is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our processing site.
Main Responsibilities:- Efficient and Effective Maintenance: Work closely with the Maintenance Team Leader and operations staff to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks.
- CMMS Administration: Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in CMMS administration.
- Plant Upgrades: Assist in mechanical and electrical upgrades to improve site efficiency.
- Safety Policies: Implement and control safety policies to ensure a safe working environment.
- Preventative Maintenance: Anticipate machine failures and recommend changes to prevent downtime.
- Planned Maintenance Shutdowns: Be available with reasonable notice for planned maintenance shutdowns.
- Diligent Maintenance Tasks: Complete tasks using appropriate methodologies and best practices.
- Communication: Maintain good communications with colleagues to ensure effective teamwork.
- Training: Attend necessary training modules to stay up-to-date with industry developments.
- Contractor Control: Provide permits and control contractors as needed to ensure site safety.
- Site Flexibility: Travel and work between various sites as required to support site operations.
- Full Driving Licence
- Recognised Apprenticeship Completed
- ONC Qualification or Higher
- Ability to Work Independently and as Part of a Team
- Proficiency in Reading Electrical/Engineering Drawings and Diagrams
- Knowledge of PLCs, Inverters, and Diagnostic Software
- Instrumentation and Control Experience
- Experience with Hydraulics and Pneumatics
- Knowledge of Conveyors and Shredders Preferred
- Electrical/Mechanical Installation Experience
- Experience in Breakdown Repair and Fault Finding
- Background in the Manufacturing Industry
- Fork Truck/Cherry Picker Experience Preferred but Not Essential
- Flexibility to Work Outside of Own Field
- Own Hand Tools Required
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off, 12-hour rolling shifts (days and nights)
