Job Title: Sous Chef

We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our team at a prestigious restaurant in North Yorkshire. As a key member of the kitchen brigade, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
  • Supervise and train junior kitchen staff to ensure high standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, ordering, and stock control.
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment in the kitchen.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to achieve high standards of food quality and presentation.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as a Sous Chef in a high-end restaurant.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality dishes and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene procedures.
