Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Junior Merchandising Professional to join our team at Matalan. As a key member of the buying team, you will be responsible for preparing seasonal buying plans and budgets through thorough analysis of the range's historical data.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop commercial ranges within established frameworks, setting and agreeing core KPIs with junior buyers in terms of sales, stock intake phasing, margin, stock turn, markdown, and terminal stock.
  • Work closely with junior buyers to establish initial stock intake plans and stock covers.
  • Candidate must have experience of development and coaching.

Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate must have successfully held an Assistant Merchandiser role, preferably within fashion retail.
  • Prior experience in range planning, merchandising, or a related field is essential.
