About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Support Worker to join our team in an alternative provisions setting.

The successful candidate will work with pupils who have previously struggled in mainstream education, requiring support to engage with their learning.

As a Support Worker, you will work closely with class teachers to provide general support to pupils, including one-to-one assistance when needed.

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate patience, resilience, and the ability to inspire and re-engage pupils in their learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide general support to pupils in an alternative provisions setting
  • Work with pupils on a one-to-one basis as directed by class teachers
  • Assist pupils to engage with their learning and develop their skills
  • Display stamina, resilience, and patience when working with challenging behaviour

Requirements:

  • Experience supporting pupils in an educational capacity (not essential)
  • Ability to work with pupils who display challenging behaviour
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team

What We Offer:

  • A competitive hourly rate of £12.90-£15.25
