About the Role

CHEP is seeking a highly skilled Tax Compliance Assistant to join our team in Weybridge. As a key member of our tax department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the effective management of indirect and direct tax compliance for CHEP.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Tax Compliance Manager in managing VAT returns, EC Sales Lists, and Intrastats WHT returns.
  • Provide support to the Brambles tax department with indirect and direct tax audits.
  • Cooperate with other Accounting teams and 3rd party providers to prepare VAT filings for domestic and non-domestic VAT.
  • Assist with CIT and VAT audits, and complete monthly reconciliation of indirect tax accounts.
  • Support the Indirect Tax Manager (Europe) on ad hoc projects and ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) are documented and updated.
Requirements
  • 2-3 years' experience in a corporate tax compliance role, ideally with managing internal tax affairs of multiple European jurisdictions.
  • Previous proven Compliance or relevant department experience.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of VAT processes.
