Job Description:

As an Import Ocean Freight Coordinator at HR GO Recruitment, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service to our clients and overseas partners. Your primary goal will be to process import jobs from booking to delivery, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prioritize workflow to ensure all aspects of work are carried out in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with colleagues to maintain the highest possible operational performance and customer service.
  • Develop constructive relationships with key customers and suppliers to resolve concerns and implement corrective action.
  • Maintain effective communication and relationships with overseas partners.
  • Ensure all consignments are loaded onto our system prior to or on departure, checking accuracy of paperwork and information provided.
  • Receive pre-alert documentation from overseas partners prior to or on the same day of departure.
  • Ensure all relevant information and instructions from customers are received to complete customs clearance on imports.
  • Provide transport companies with necessary information to meet customer delivery requirements.
  • Ensure import or release of orders without receiving all monies owed on non-credit account clients and all import duty & VAT have been paid.
  • Cost and invoice all files prior to delivery.
  • Liaise with customers and colleagues to ensure customer spreadsheets and special instructions are followed.
  • Identify and provide early warning to your direct line manager on any issues and problems that could have an adverse effect on deadlines.
  • Take ownership of accounting issues and queries as directed by management, ensuring they are dealt with within 48 hours.
  • Assist with insurance claims in line with company procedures as requested by management.
  • Complete weekly and month-end routines as directed by your line manager.
  • Ensure all client SOPs & SLAs are followed at all times.
