Job Title: Support Worker

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to provide essential support and assistance to individuals with disabilities in their daily activities.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide support and assistance to individuals with disabilities in their daily activities.
  • Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Support individuals in maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
  • Help individuals with meal planning, preparation, and feeding if necessary.
  • Assist with medication administration and ensure compliance with prescribed medications.
  • Support individuals in participating in social and recreational activities.
  • Document and report any changes in behaviour or health status to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Compassionate and patient demeanour.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of individuals.
Working Conditions:
  • Extra care housing
  • Residential home
Shifts:
  • 12 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Night shift
Education:
  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
Experience:
  • Learning disability/mental health: 3 years (required)
Language:
  • English (required)
