Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shift Maintenance Engineer to join our team at our Whitby site. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our electrical and mechanical equipment, ensuring seamless production operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and repair electrical and mechanical equipment, including fault-finding and electrical installations
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubricating equipment
  • Conduct electrical and mechanical inspections to identify potential issues
  • Collaborate with other engineers and production staff to resolve equipment-related issues
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to minimize downtime
Requirements:
  • Apprenticeship in electrical maintenance and relevant qualifications (e.g. 18th Edition IEE certificate)
  • At least 12 months of practical engineering experience in a similar role
  • Experience working with 3-phase distribution and electrical services up to 415V
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
