We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic General Practitioner to join our Primary Care Network (PCN) in Wolverhampton North. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team, and contributing to the development of our network.

Main Responsibilities
  • Undertake a variety of duties governed by the GMS contract and Enhanced Services objectives, including in-person consultations, telephone consultations, triage calls, and visiting patients at home and in nursing homes.
  • Participate in on-call duties, checking and signing repeat prescriptions, and dealing with queries, paperwork, and correspondence as required.
  • Contribute to clinical administration, including clinical audits, learning event analyses, and practice meetings.

Wolverhampton North Network is a successful PCN consisting of 7 practices and over 50,000 patients. The successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively with our team to provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of our network.

We offer a supportive environment where you will receive regular clinical supervision and be actively encouraged to undertake further training and study to develop professionally.

Person Specification
  • Must be a qualified GP with full GMC registration, on a performers list, and have a UK drivers license.
  • Newly qualified GP (no more than 2 years qualified) with no previous substantive post.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to listen and empathise.
  • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, with competent time management and organisational skills.
  • Adaptable and forward-looking, with problem-solving and a 'solutions-focused' approach.
  • Demonstrable commitment to professional development, with knowledge of public health issues in the local area.
Experience
  • Experience with using EMIS.
