Are you an experienced Asset and Configuration Manager looking for a new exciting opportunity?Our Aerospace, Defence and Security sector is currently recruiting for an experienced Service Asset and Configuration Manager to join an established team and facilitate the support of both Hardware and Software configuration. This role offers a unique chance to join an exciting area of the business and agree and implement an Asset and Configuration Management function for a new programme following industry standard processes. You will have the opportunity to join a "once in a generation rollout" at the build phase and influence the project from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Propose, agree and implement an Asset and Configuration Management function for the Programme, based on industry standard methodologies and tools.
  • Be accountable for the daily management of hardware and software asset information.
  • Manage the asset database/inventory to ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of information.
  • Gather and maintain essential information such as asset location, asset quantities, identifiers (e.g. serial numbers), and audit status.
  • Administer the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and the License Management database.
  • Audit/manage the Programme assets.

Requirements:

  • Experience of operating service support function(s) within an enterprise environment.
  • IT Hardware and software auditing and management.
  • Knowledge of ITIL Service Management processes and practices.
  • Sound knowledge and experience of associated asset and configuration management tools, techniques, and methods.
