About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Plant Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Biogen UK. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our anaerobic digestion (AD) plants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Site Manager with the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) System
  • Plan and execute maintenance activities to minimize downtime and ensure safe and cost-effective operations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our AD process and equipment
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and quality management systems
Requirements
  • Qualified in electrical or mechanical engineering, with experience in a related process industry
  • Experience with engineering, PLC controls, or electronics is an advantage
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and with materials handling equipment
  • First aid training and WAMITAB competency standards
  • NEBOSH general certificate or equivalent
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
